He just may be the top fantasy performer in 2009….
Houston QB Case Keenum (photo, thanks Scout.com) ripped up a multitude of defenses in 2009, and, not just in Conference USA…Keenum led the Cougars to upset wins over Big XII schools Oklahoma State and Texas Tech early in the season. For his performance, Keenum is our Fantasy College Blitz 2009 Conference USA Fantasy Player of the Year.
Keenum, a senior from Abilene, TX (Wylie HS), threw for 4560 yards and 36 TDs, while rushing for an additional 3 TDs (stats quoted are through November 21st games).
Houston, who finished first in CUSA West, will face Air Force in the upcoming Armed Forces Bowl in Fort Worth, TX.
Joining Keenum on the 2009 CUSA All-Fantasy Team are….Note: All stats quoted are through November 21st games.

RUNNING BACK
Donald Buckram – UTEP: Buckram (photo, right, thanks lcnj.com) was
the nation’s breakout fantasy star in 2009…rushing for nearly 1600 yards and 17 TDs. Also a capable receiver as well, Buckram posted over 300 yards and 2 TDs receiving for the Miners.
Darius Marshall – Marshall: The main cog in the Thundering Herd offense, rushing for 1054 yards and 11 TDs in 2009.
Brynn Harvey – UCF: Harvey led the bowl-bound Knights with 947 yards and 13 TDs…and his late-season surge brought back memories of former UCF RB great Kevin Smith.

RECEIVERS
Dewayne Harris – East Carolina: The big-play threat led the CUSA champ Pirates with 727 yards and 5 TD catches….and also had 4 rushing TDs.

KICKER
Craig Ratanamorn – Marshall: Thundering Herd kicker led all CUSA kickers in scoring with 76 points
