Big East Fantasy College Runningback 2009 Rankings

Thursday, July 30th, 2009

Drew and I knocked back a couple pints of Vitamin G last night and we spent about 20 minutes discussing the difference between “NFL talent” and “fantasy production”. If only it were a 1:1 relationship that would make life a little easier.

Remember, if you followed this line of thinking that the best measurables made the best fantasy players all the time, over the last few year’s you would have missed out on ULL’s Terrel Fenroy, Buffalo’s James Starks and NIU’s Garrett Wolfe while saddling your roster down to Clemson’s James Davis, Miami’s Javarris James, and anyone of five USC runners.

Big East is similar for 2009 – Mike Ford “passes the swimsuit test” but can you trust him to lead the conference in yards and TDs? Louisville’s Victor Anderson lists at 5-9 185 but does the NFL embrace Dave Meggett-like backs anymore? Like Noel Devine (right?)

After the jump my rankings of the Big East RBs.
