A survey of college coaches by conference

By Vince Mullins | June 15, 2008

Jim TesselWhile Rich Rodriguez may be a great recruiter, Jim Tressel may be a better teacher. Seems most people think Bob Stoops wardens over a bunch of inmates but still gets the job done on game day.

One of our off-season goals (besides the redesigns) was to engage the fan more, and Matt tested out some surveys to get the fan perspective on the college football coaches aptitude across the six major conferences. Testing worked great, now we bring the surveys to you - do not let the sweater vests distract you (Jim Tressel photo courtesy of Icon SMI)…

Take the surveys below, rank the coach in relation to his conference rivals on these skills:

  1. Recruiting
  2. Player Development
  3. Gameday
  4. Program Control

We will share the results as we get closer to the opening of fall practice.

ACC
Big 10
Big 12
Big East
Pac 10
SEC
