College football fan reactions to bowl losses a window to the soul
January 11th, 2009 by Vince Mullins
Television and the internet provided some telling looks into the souls of college football fans everywhere this past month. While many enjoy the battle of young men on the field of play as a nice diversion from tailgating or their favorite adult beverage binge on the couch, others tie their entire self-worth into the success of their team.
Three pieces in particular stood out to me this past week.
First, a youngster in his footy pajamas does not take kindly to Colt McCoy heroics…
Oklahoma band performer not happy with the performance of her single reed woodwind…
and finally, this Oklahoma Fan just misses the boat on so many levels (HT: Dr. Saturday)…
“Yes, the woman in the picture is wearing a “Beat Texas” shirt. At the championship game. In Miami. Against Florida.”
Color me overstimulated but I am intrigued by the partial of the woman behind our fair subject – looks like she has some guns, took time to do her hair and the OU on her chest looks to be stretched to an elastic limit…just sayin. If anyone can make out her sign I would be curious to her language skills.
