FCB College Football Top 25
September 23rd, 2009 by Vince Mullins
Upsets were the story of the weekend and that created more volatility in our rankings than ever.
I can no longer deny Mississippi nor Miami (FL), I am suspicious of BYU and Georgia’s horrific defense. And tearful goodbyes to Georgia Tech and Utah.
Some good teams just outside the Top 25 – Michigan, North Carolina, Washington (show me a little more and you will be in here soon), Pitt (a quiet 3-0) and Colorado State (two nice home wins and 3-0). I expect Texas Tech to visit again.
Good teams I admit to bias jumping ahead of those teams? Auburn (damn exciting 3-0 with two non-conference wins), Southern Miss (I still expect them to win the CUSA but the squeaky win over Virginia almost pushed them out), and Missouri (very impressive early).
