FCB FANTASY PLAYER OF THE WEEK…QB Aaron Opelt, Toledo
September 14th, 2009 by Daniel Freer
Not too often do you see Buffaloes shuffled off so easily…
On this past Friday night, Toledo QB Aaron Opelt (photo, thanks Scout.com) lit up Colorado like a nighttime skiing resort in the Rockies, pummeling the visiting Buffaloes, 54-38, in a nationally-televised matchup from Toledo’s Glass Bowl. For his performance, Aaron Opelt is our Fantasy College Blitz Fantasy Player of the Week.
Opelt, a senior from Fremont, Ohio, threw for 319 yards and 4 TDs, while rushing for 109 yards and 2 TDs…including a long TD run in the second half.
This is not the first time Opelt has QBed a Rocket team to an upset of an FBS school from a major conference. Last season, Opelt led Toledo to a 13-10 upset of Michigan in the The Big House.
