BGSU at Ball State
BG’s Tyler Sheehan threw for 376-yards and Freddie Barnes had 160 of those and all three of his TD passes. Ball State rushed for 273-yards as a team with MiQuale Lewis (115, pictured left thanks Icon SMI) and Eric Williams (88) leading the way. The Falcons led 31-7 late in the 3rd quarter.

Army at Temple
Temple’s defense was dominating and a key INT overturned by reply aided the Owls to pull away from Army and secure their longest winning streak in 24-years. The Black Knights had 14-penalties for 100-yards and produced more total offense (256) than Temple (195).

Miami (O) at Ohio
Donte Harden rushed for 121 yards and two touchdowns as OU defeated Miami for the 4th straight season. Ohio is 3-0 in MAC play for the first time since 1997. Miami continues to be plagued with turnovers this season committing four more in this contest. The Bobcats had a commanding 398-218 edge in total offense before a good MAC crowd of just over 20K.

Actual Score: Ohio 28 – Miami 7
Central at Western
Central’s Dan LeFevour threw for two touchdowns and ran for one more; LeFevour went 18-30 for 238 yards and added 76-yards rushing. Western’s Tim Hiller added to his record book throwing 88th and 89th career TD passes to break a school record of 87 held since 1999 by Tim Lester. He also set the school’s career completions record with his 879th. The Broncos held a 497-426 edge in total offense behind Hiller’s 410 through the air before a nice MAC crowd of nearly 28K.

Akron at Buffalo
Buffalo’s Mario Henry’s 1-yard touchdown with 5:59 left was the difference for UB as Zach Maynard threw for 205 yards and two touchdowns – both to Naaman Roosevelt. True freshman Patrick Nicely passed for 200-yards with two interceptions for the Zips.

Actual Score: Buffalo 21 – Akron 17
Kent State at EMU
Spencer Keith passed for 164-yards and two TDs as KSU won at Eastern before a D-III like crowd of 2,400. The Golden Flashes had a 347-248 edge in total offense as Joe Carithers provided all of the offense for the Eagles.

Actual Score: Kent State 28 – EMU 6
NIU at Toledo
UT’s DaJuane Collins rushed for 139-yards and scored two TDs while FS Barry Church blocked a field goal in the final seconds to preserve the win for the Rockets. Eric Page has another monster day as the Toledo true freshman produced 127-yards from his ten receptions. Me’co Brown had 94-yards rushing for NIU and scored a TD. Toledo had a 387-321 edge in total offense.
