PODCAST: 2009 NFL Draft Preview
April 17th, 2009 by Vince Mullins
You likely bookmark Fantasy College Blitz for honest unadulterated opinions on fantasy college football. The 2009 NFL Draft preview with Chief Fantasy Officer Drew Smith and Draft Coordinator Jeremy Shory delivers the same raw attack on the traditional NFL Draft values in our first podcast in 2009. Some quotes:
Drew on the Cleveland Browns: “It is clear they want to move on without (Brady Quinn and Braylon Edwards). As far as who they are going to take, I HAVE NO CLUE. How do they expect to score any points without a QB, a WR or their TE? …it seems they are planning to match the Lions 0-16 record. They are making Al Davis look sane.”
Jeremy Shory on the Detroit Lions: “There are at least 6 to 7 guys rated ahead of Matt Stafford – why would the Lions take a 50-50 historical probability with a top QB when they can draft other players who can help immediately.”
Drew on Matt Stafford: “Every expert out there has crowned Matt Stafford as the top QB in the draft….I want my quarterback to rally the team around him, I want him to have a high completion percentage – Stafford doesn’t have any of those things.”
Get comfy as the FCB Draft team provides an exhaustive breakdown of the Jay Cutler trade, the Top Five Mock Draft opinions and finally the booms and busts expected from the 2009 NFL Draft.
