Now that college football has officially kicked off, we can all pop the aspirin to try and help with the hangovers. We’ll give a little Week 1 recap as well as a few predictions and key matchups as we head into Week 2. Without further ado, I give to you the Week 1 top performers, which so appropriately deserve some Fantasy College Blitz helmet stickers.
QB: The real question is who was not to like from the ACC quarterbacks this week. It might be easier to tell you who didn’t fare well instead of naming those that did. Seriously, between Christian Ponders 4 touchdowns in only half a game, TJ Yates 412 yards passing, Joshua Nesbitt’s 130 yards rushing (plus three rushing TDs mind you), Russell Wilson’s 300+ yards and 4 scores, and Jaccory Harris’ 3 scores, the ACC really had a great week slinging the ball. Tyrod Taylor had one of his gutsiest performances of him career against Boise State, and he managed a solid 2 passing TDs and 70+ yards on the ground. Duke newcomer Sean Renfree threw for 350 yards with 2 scores which is as solid as you could ask. This group made the ACC proud in Week 1. Read the rest of this entry →
