It is already the eighth week of the 2010 college football season, and many of you are prepping for the run to your league’s fantasy playoffs…or finishing the final weeks of a lame season.
Still, everyone prefers to win…so you need a good QB. Or, a seviceable one, if your top fantasy QB is off this week….and many top QBs are off on Week Eight.
This development means that some QBs who may not normally see regular action on fantasy teams are getting their shot at starting this week. Others, like Texas A&M QB Jerrod Johnson, become one of the best plays of the week. Read the rest of this entry →
Can Taylor Potts maintain his big fantasy output against the Longhorns? (Icon SMI)
Texas travels to Lubbock to face Texas Tech in our prime time game, and with the way the Longhorn offense is playing right now this one could be up for grabs.
In fact, Red Raider QB Taylor Potts is the only player in this game who I’m leaning towards having a good game, but there is one huge caveat to that: last season, when a Texas defense of similar talent and tactical caliber as this one held the Red Raiders to 3 first half points, Mike Leach made some genius adjustments to score 21 in the second half of a close loss.

Can you believe it…it is just days from the start of the 2010 College Football season! And, of course, you probably want to know whether your fantasy QB is worth playing in Week One….like Texas A&M’s JerrodJohnson (photo, thanks, Scout.com)
We got the lowdown on many of the top QB plays this week…and we even did this article on our own. What? You think we got Butch Davis’ Nanny to write this? Come on… Read the rest of this entry →
The nation really did not get to see much of our Big XII Fantasy Player of the Year until a Thanksgiving night matchup against Texas….where our honoree went head-to-head with Texas QB Colt McCoy…and fared quite well
That player, Texas A&M QB Jerrod Johnson, had a number of other great games during the season….which earned him our 2009 Fantasy College Blitz – Big XII Fantasy Player of the Year.
Johnson (photo, thanks, GoAggies.com), a junior from Humble, TX (Humble HS), lit up opponents for over 2800 yards passing and 24 passing TDs…while rushing for nearly 600 yards and 8 TDs (stats quoted are through November 21st games).
