The 2009 fantasy season is winding down.

For some of you, this is the last week of regular-season fantasy games….for others, it is the next-to-last game.  Whichever category you fall under, this means jockeying for playoff spots….or jockeying to stay out of the dreaded “fantasy league cellar”.

Week Nine will be an interesting one.  Although most FBS conferences are in the thick of their conference action, some notable programs (and QBs) are getting a breather this week.

Week one is now in the books, and already we have seen some exceptional performances from the top players in the nation.

Though, no one had the overall production like UAB QB Joe Webb, (photo, thanks IconSMI) who is our Fantasy College Blitz Fantasy Player of the Week for week one.

In the Blazers 44-24 win over Rice, Webb, a senior from Birmingham, rushed for 194 yards and 2 TDs, while passing for another 221 yards and 2 TDs.
