A funny thing happened to the ACC this past weekend…and no, it was not just that some of their marquee programs and QBs laid eggs last week in non-conference action.

Not only the ACC schools could not get the ball to the right WRs, they could not get the ball into the right stadium.

A skydiving crew was supposed to deliver the game-ball to North Carolina’s Kenan Stadium before kickoff.  They did deliver the game-ball, however, to Duke’s Wallace Wade Stadium.   Ooops!

Hint #457:  Chances are you would not see UNC mascot, Ramses (pictured, thanks IconSMI), foraging on leafy things at Duke.  Just a hint… Read the rest of this entry →

Is everybody happy?  College Football 2008 is now in full swing.

Of course, some of your fantasy teams did quite well…others are wondering “what happened to Tim Tebow?” (warned ya about those early non-conference cream-puff games).

Be on the lookout again this week with star QBs playing vanilla opponents, although there will be fewer of those type of games this week.

In fact, you should see some competitive QB matchups, including BYUs Max Hall (pictured, thanks IconSMI ) facing Washington and Husky QB Jake Locker (both you should play this week).

It’s here!

The 2008 college football season is set to kick off in about 96 hours (depending on your time zone).  Everyone is getting their grills ready, their coolers loaded, and their fantasy lineups in for Week One.

Is there another Appalachian State surprise in the works?  Nice to have the two Division I champs meeting in the opener…when Appalachian travels to LSU on Saturday.  Too bad we can’t sneak Mountaineer QB Armanti Edwards on the start list…

Making changes….

Like the Chinese government with gymnast’s birth certificates, this college football pre-season has seen a number of changes already.

Some have already had an affect on everyone’s fantasy list.  Soon, look for the recent updates on our Cheatsheets provided in the Fantasy College Blitz Draft Kit link/button (on top of our website).

Fortunately some things do not change, like Florida Atlantic QB Rusty Smith (pictured, thanks IconSMI ).  He still is very high on the list.

And all of the QBs meet the minimum age requirements.
