Given their two-year suspension from post-season competition and reduced scholarships, current junior and senior USC Trojans get a transfer waiver and can play the 2010 season. Pac Ten tries valiantly to usurp the waiver while simultaneously taking over college football west of the Mississippi River, so stay tuned. Some big names here, likely the biggest for recruitniks is Marc Tyler.
Keep your eyes open for movement here to help your fantasy team – all would appreciate your comments if you see one of these guys enrolling elsewhere:
As we head into the Spring Practice season for Division I-FBS schools, this is a good time to check out all the coaching changes that happened in the off-season….and the impact they will have on fantasy football this upcoming fall.
Almost 20% of Division I-FCS schools changed coaches in the off-season, with the biggest moves taking place at Notre Dame (Brian Kelly…from Cincinnati...photo, thanks SI.com), USC (Lane Kiffin…from Tennessee), and Florida State (JimboFisher….already named head coach before Bobby Bowden retired).

Gerhart (photo, thanks SportsIllustrated.com), a senior from Norco, CA (Norco HS) led the Cardinal with over 1500 yards rushing and 23 rushing TDs (stats quoted are through November 21st games). Gerhart, who also had nearly 200 yards receiving, was the top fantasy running back, nationally, in 2009.

In college football, having an offensive line with experience is a huge advantage. Unlike pro football, where more training time is allowed, and, no one has to study for their upcoming Differential Integral Remedial Calculus exam….colleges do not have the time to mold a cohesive offensive line before the start of the season.
