TEXAS-ARKANSAS GAME POSTPONED (And Other Updates – 09/11/08)

The eyes of Texas, and Bevo (pictured, thanks IconSMI), will not be upon anyone this weekend.
Hurricane Ike has forced the Texas-Arkansas game, scheduled for this Saturday in Austin, to be postponed…and rescheduled for September 27.
Also, the Air Force @ Houston game, scheduled for Saturday, has been moved to SMU’s Gerald Ford Stadium in Dallas…as the Houston area may be in the path of Ike.
WASHINGTON STATE @ BAYLOR:
The Washington State @ Baylor game scheduled for this Saturday has been moved up to this Friday evening. The game, being played in Waco, TX, was moved due to the oncoming Hurricane Ike.

CINCINNATI:
Tony Pike takes over as starting QB for the Bearcats, after Dustin Grutza was lost for the season when he broke his leg last week at Oklahoma. Pike has seen some limited action in his UC career.
Meanwhile, former/current Bearcat QB Ben Mauk recently lost in court, trying to obtain an injunction to overturn the NCAAs denial of his request for a sixth year of eligibility. No word yet on Mauk’s next action, though I would not be surprised that everyone in UC land wants Mauk to appeal…especially after Grutza’s season-ending injury.
VIRGINIA:
Because QB news is slow this week…UVa starting QB Peter Lalich will not be travelling with the team this weekend, due to some personal legal issues. If you have Lalich as one of your fantasy QBs, you…may have some personal issues.
