WEEK TEN TOP PERFORMERS
November 3rd, 2008 by Daniel Freer
Everyone is still is buzzing over the Texas-Texas Tech game this past Saturday, and, its now-legendary wild ending.
But, before you run back onto the field with guns locked and loaded, the top fantasy performances happened elsewhere…and quite a few of them familiar to those in Texas and Big XII country.
Oklahoma State QB Zac Robinson riddled Iowa State with 395 yards passing and 5 TDs, with 4 of those to probable All-American WR Dez Bryant. The other Robinson TD pass, a 95-yard bomb to Jeremy Broadway, set a new OSU all-time school record.
Southern Miss QB Austin Davis put on a show in the Golden Eagles 70-14 whupping of UAB. Davis rushed for 5 TDs, and added another through the air…all this after losing top RB Damion Fletcher to an injury early in the game.
Rice QB Chase Clement seems to make weekly appearances on this list. But, hey, when you toss 5 TD passes, throw for 372 yards, and run for another, like he did in the Owls 49-44 victory at UTEP, you get on this list a lot.
There were RBs who had big games, most notably Kansas RB Jake Sharp, who ran for 181 yards and 4 TDs in a win over Kansas State, adding another 76 yards in receptions. Wyoming RB Devin Moore blew up for 234 yards and 3 TDs in the Cowboys win over San Diego State.
