2008 SCHEDULE…A Nightmare On Roster Sheet
July 13th, 2008 by Daniel Freer
The 2008 NCAA FBS Schedule can pose a dilemma for fantasy players this season. With the unusual calendar set-up, there are 15 game-weeks (Aug 30-Dec 6) for 2008…one more than the usual 14 week set-up in most years.
Which means that most of the FBS schools will have two off-weeks in 2008…and the majority of those are during the standard fantasy-playing weeks (Aug 30-Nov 22).
If you are not careful, this could mean “A Nightmare On Your Roster Sheet”
For 2008, it will be extra-important to check and re-check the game schedules of all the teams your fantasy players play for. Continually update yourself on schedules via Fantasy College Blitz and other related sites. Also, always keep handy a good college football preview magazine (the best for schedules…especially with its easy-to-read grid format…is Phil Steele’s 2008 College Football Preview).
The majortiy of FBS schools will have two off-weeks during the standard fantasy-season. Listed below are the schools that will either have more than two off-weeks…or less than two off-weeks
