Gee….I think I have written this article a few times already this season…
Cameron Newton, the multi-threat QB from Auburn, is again our Fantasy College Blitz Fantasy Player of the Week….his third such honor during this 2010 season.
Newton (photo, running with football, thanks Scout.com), a junior from Atlanta, GA (Westlake HS) who has been mired in controversy all week, shook it all off as he ran for 151 yards and 4 TDs, while throwing for another 148 yards and 2 TDs in the Tigers 49-31 win over Georgia. The win clinched the SEC West division title and a berth in the SEC Championship Game for the Tigers.

Due to technical difficulties, we were not able to post the FCB Fantasy Player of the Week for Week Ten. We want to amend this now, if possible.
The top fantasy performer for Week Ten was East Carolina QB Dominique Davis…our Fantasy College Blitz Fantasy Player of the Week.
Davis (photo, right, thanks Scout.com), a junior from Lakeland, FL (Kathleen HS), threw for 413 yards and 5 TDs in the Pirates 76-35 loss vs Navy on November 6th.
Although he did not win this week’s honor, it should be noted that the Boston College transfer threw another 5 TD passes in ECUs 54-42 win over UAB this past Saturday (November 13th).

For the first time this 2010 season, our Fantasy Player of the Week is not one of the usual QBs who have been winning this honor.
Nebraska RB Roy Helu, Jr., is our Fantasy College Blitz Fantasy Player of the Week for Week Nine, after a record-setting performance against Missouri
Helu, Jr. (photo, thanks Scout.com), a senior from Danville, CA (San Ramon Valley HS), rushed for a school-record 307 yards in Nebraska’s 31-17 win over formerly-undefeated Missouri. Helu, Jr. also had three long TD runs in the game for the Big XII North leading Cornhuskers.
This is the third time this season, and the second week in a row, that a Husker has won our Fantasy Player of the Week honor. Last week, Huskers QB Taylor Martinez won his second FCB-FPOTW of the 2010 after a big performance against Oklahoma State.

It must be Groundhog Day…because we seem to have a lot of repeat winners for our Player of the Week honors.
Nebraska QB Taylor Martinez (photo, thanks HuskerNation.com) is our Fantasy College Blitz Fantasy Player of the Week for Week Eight…his second win of our top weekly fantasy honor this season.
The freshman from Corona, CA (Centennial HS) threw for 323 yards and 5 TDs, while rushing for another 130 yards, in the Cornhuskers 51-41 win at Oklahoma State this past Saturday.

In the “Duel of the top SEC QBs” from this past Saturday, one of them lived up to the top billing.
Auburn QB Cameron Newton out-dueled Arkansas QB Ryan Mallett (who left the game in the second quarter with an injury) in the Tigers 65-43 win over the Razorbacks at Auburn, Alabama. And, in doing so, Cameron Newton wins our Fantasy College Blitz Fantasy Player of the Week for Week Seven….Newton’s second FCB-FPOTY win of the season.
Newton (running with football…photo, thanks AP/Butch Dili), a junior from Atlanta, GA (Westlake HS), rushed for 205 yards and 3 TDs, while throwing for 140 yards and a TD.

Nebraska has had some great running/option QBs over its history, but, their recent discovery just may obliterate all the records and legendary games of his predecessors.
Huskers QB Taylor Martinez (photo, thanks HuskerExtra.com) is our Fantasy College Blitz Fantasy Player of the Week for Week Six.
Martinez, a redshirt-freshman from Corona, CA (Centennial HS), ran for 241 yards and 4 TDs, passed for another TD, and had 368 yards total offense in Nebraska’s 48-13 win at Kansas State on Thursday night.
