Fantasy College Football Invitational: Expert League Draft Results

As we enter into our fourth year of the FCFI, I am happy to report events during the season so that our readers can see what the “insiders” of the industry are doing to manage their teams. This season, our roster of experts is as follows:
Mock Draft Central, PrePro Sports, U-Sports, Sporting News, Rotojunkie, Rotowire, Pro Fantasy Sports, Sports Forecaster, CFFInsider, Rotoworld, CBS Sportsline, Rivals, Athlon and us truly.
This year, we added U-Sports and Sports Forecaster to an already extensive list of fantasy and media personalities.
As you can see, this is a 14 Team league that drafts 19 rounds. As a reminder, the scoring system is a standard setup where TDs are 6 points for all players except the QB (4pts). For every 10 yards rushing or receiving, a point will be collected. The QBs get a point for every 25 yards passing. Kickers get 1pt for XPs and 3 for FGs (no bonus for over 50yds). Defenses get 6pts for TDs, 6pts for safeties, 3pts for turnovers, 1pt for sacks and a 10pt bonus for shutouts. All kick returns got 6pts (for the S/T, not the actual player). The starting lineup consisted of QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, TE, K and D/ST.
Our league of superheroes had their draft pre-tropical storm Fay. Unfortunately, the storm put me behind on getting this posted as I became all too familiar with my wet vac and not so drywall. If I can get this table to work, you’ll be able to see the results:

Nothing sticks out as a major reach although FCB did have the first selection go awry as news came out after the draft that Justin Willis was not declared the starter. Thank goodness for the waiver wire!
Games start this week and Jeff Erickson from Rotowire will try to defend his title. Look for our upcoming podcast with him as we talk about his 2008 team.
