Florida QB Tim Tebow, on the ground after taking a big hit in Q3 vs. Kentucky.

Unless you live under a rock, you know that Florida QB Tim Tebow was knocked out of Florida’s 41-7 victory against Kentucky after a hard shot to the head in the third quarter, and taken by ambulance to a hospital.

Currently it’s unknown how this hit will affect his status for the Gators’ matchup against LSU in two weeks. Nor is it clear how it will affect the battle for the Heisman Trophy.

I blame Urban Meyer for the injury to Tim Tebow.

Why was Tebow in the game, when it’s the third quarter and the Gators are up 31-7? WHY?

Meyer has done this all season. He’s leaving Tebow and other starters in there for FAR too long during these blowout games. He’s trying to justify the No. 1 ranking by increasing the margin of victory as much as he can. With Tebow, it’s like he’s keeping him in there just to inflate his numbers to make the case for another Heisman Trophy.

It just makes to me why you’d risk Tebow and your starters, when the second-stringers need to get experience. Might I add it’s even more questionable this past week due to the flu that struck Tebow and multiple other starters.
