Head2Head Tips: Fewer games, more pressure
December 3rd, 2008 by Topher Dean
We’re down to the final week before the bowl season and H2H playoffs begin. Some of you are battling for playoff spots while others of you (like me) are looking to end your season as the highest scoring team in your league. This week’s top ten value plays will help you do that (again, only eligible players are being considered here and the schedule is light).
10 – Jahvid Best, RB, California (9.7M, 52.12 efficiency rating)
The Bears’ opponent this week, the Washington Huskies, are allowing 223 rushing yards and 2.5 rushing touchdowns per game. This bodes well for Best (left, Icon SMI) who can rack up serious points against respectable defenses. There is no telling what kind of damage he will inflict on the Huskies, but he should definitely be in your lineup this week.
Since Washington is about as horrid as their in-state rival Washington State, it should be known that in just over two quarters Best put up 39 on the Cougars early in the season.
9 – Pat White, QB, West Virginia (15.0M, 54.38 efficiency rating)
White isn’t the most consistent option available but when he hits, hit comes up big. I think South Florida will have a difficult time containing White this week and if you’re still flexing a quarterback, White is a more than viable option.
This will be his last home game before his skills are tested at the next level so expect a good showing for the NCAA’s all-time leading rusher amongst quarterbacks.
8 – Tim Tebow, QB, Florida (17.00M, 54.90 efficiency rating)…Read the rest of the story.
