They may be ending the Space Shuttle program at NASA, but Houston will still have a lot of rockets…it just seems that NASA placed them a little closer to downtown on the University of Houston campus.
Conference USA’s top offense will be joined by a slew of CUSA programs producing some of the nation’s best fantasy talent. Of course, the Number One fantasy player from last season, Houston QB Case Keenum (photo, thanks IconSMI), is back for 2010….but, check out the other top fantasy prospects from CUSA…the conference is loaded…

You have seen all the other All-America teams….
Now…how about an All-America Team based solely on the most important, and, the most easily understood criteria….STATS.
The staff and contributors of Fantasy College Blitz have compiled…and now reveal….the 2009 Fantasy College Blitz – Fantasy All-America Team.
Also, our All-America Team is loaded with Texans. The Lone Star state is well-represented with five players from four different Texas universities….and six (counting Defense/Special Teams) that played their prep football in Texas.
Another thing Texas can claim to be “big” about: Fantasy production from its college football players.
Since we have given you some hints already on who made the FCB Fantasy All-America Team….continue on to see our honorees… Read the rest of this entry →

Can you believe it….already Week Eight!
The 2009 college football season, for the fantasy crowd, is almost over. Most of your leagues are in the home stretch…fighting for playoff spots…upsetting the playoff apple-cart for your rivals….trying to keep out of the cellar….wondering why your star player early in the season has now turned into Buster McBust…
In dealing with college football QBs for Fantasy College Blitz, I have noticed that, at this time of the season, the QB position seems to produce fewer numbers….especially those at the BCS-level schools. Generally, the QBs at the BCS-level schools are playing their conference foes, and, their tougher ones as the season progresses.
Fortunately, some QBs are immune to the “end of season doldrums”. One of them, Houston QB Case Keenum (photo, thanks Scout.com), seems to put up better numbers playing against his conference foes. Read the rest of this entry →

Nothing like consistency….
That is what you get with Houston QB Case Keenum (photo, thanks Scout.com).
While other QBs make fantasy players, coaches, owners, prognosticators, et al…make one stupid with inconsistency, Keenum makes everyone look like a genius.
Keenum led Oklahoma State to a 45-35 win in Stillwater last weekend, while putting up some good offensive numbers. The Cougar QB stared down the toughest defense UH will face all season, and the defense blinked. The OSU defense was the same defense one week earlier that shut down Georgia.
As long as Keenum stays upright, the Houston offense is just going to roll over the rest of their competition in 2009…and I am including a meeting with Texas Tech next weekend.
And, I can safely say that….this week you should not play Keenum (What? You hypocrite!)
Calm down, now….Keenum and his fellow Houston Cougars have this week off. You can play him the next 9-12 weeks or so.
On to the rest of the QBs…. Read the rest of this entry →
